MIDDLETHORPE INTERIORS

Middlethorpe Interiors is an independent interior design studio based in Tadcaster, working across York, Harrogate, Wetherby and beyond. Founded by Ann Allan, the studio was built on a belief that homes should feel natural, personal and enduring – not driven by trends, but shaped around the way people genuinely live.

Over the years, the studio has grown through long-term client relationships and word of mouth. Many projects begin with one room and evolve into full home transformations, built on trust, discretion and thoughtful design leadership. Every project is tailored. There’s no house style – their work reflects the client, their architecture and their way of living.

Middlethorpe offers a range of services including Full Interior Design, One-Room Interior Decoration, Soft Furnishings & Upholstery, Virtual Design, Colour Consultancy and Design Concierge support. What makes the studio unique is the balance between creativity and structure – calm ideas paired with careful sequencing, so projects feel considered and well managed from the outset.

Middlethorpe are delighted to celebrate ten years of design in their studio in Tadcaster. Being based in Tadcaster feels grounding to them . As they say “there’s a strong sense of community here, an appreciation for craftsmanship and heritage, and the perfect balance between town and countryside – all of which quietly influence the way we approach design.”
